Welcome to this first-ever blog for Templo La Antorcha and for me. I chose the name Salt and Light because this teaching of Jesus in the Sermon of the Mount calls on us to be the salt and light of the world. Salt adds flavor. As salt, we must spread that flavor, the Word of God, to show people God’s unconditional love to others who feel sad, lonely, or lost. Jesus is always around, ready to rescue and change a soul. We are the Light of the World; it is our responsibility to shine in the presence of those who need it so they too can be a part of this Light and find the path that leads to eternal life in Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Our goal is to resolve to be the salt of the world, and let our love light shine splendidly.
