Be a Sponge
Have you ever thought about the sponge? A sponge is a tiny animal when born, and as soon as it can, it attaches itself to a rock. On the rock, it grows and attaches itself even more to that rock. Water must always flow through it to nourish it, or it will die and, if it dies, it separates from the rock. Such is the life of a Christian. We must attach ourselves to the Rock that became the Corner Stone of our faith, Jesus Christ. When we attach ourselves to the Jesus and allow the rivers of Living Water to flow through us, He nourishes us and keeps us attached. If the sponge dies, it separates form the rock and becomes useless; at best, it will end up in our kitchen scrubbing greasy pots. If we detach from the Rock, we die. Today, resolve to anchor your life on the Rock and His water will be a well of water within you springing up into everlasting life.
